Why Warranty Transfer Matters
A properly transferred warranty helps protect the new property owner and supports the resale value of the home or building. Waterproofing, drainage, and foundation repair work may become an important disclosure item during a sale, especially when the property has a history of water intrusion, foundation movement, slab seepage, basement leaks, crawlspace moisture, drainage failure, or structural repair.
When the warranty is transferred properly, Foundation Waterproofing 101, LLC may issue warranty coverage to the new property owner according to the original warranty terms, project scope, contract documents, exclusions, and transfer requirements.
Warranty Coverage May Apply to These Project Types
- Foundation waterproofing systems
- Foundation repair work
- Drainage correction and site drainage systems
- Basement waterproofing systems
- Crawlspace waterproofing and moisture-control systems
- Sump pump and discharge systems
- Hydrostatic pressure relief systems
- Commercial waterproofing systems
Important Warranty Transfer Notice
Warranty transfer is not automatic. The new owner must complete the warranty transfer application and submit the required documents and transfer fee within the required time period. Failure to complete the transfer process may cause the warranty to expire permanently.
The new owner agrees to be bound by the original warranty terms, conditions, limitations, exclusions, maintenance requirements, and contract documents associated with the original Foundation Waterproofing 101 project.
Buying or Selling a Property With Foundation Waterproofing 101 Work?
If you are a buyer, seller, real estate agent, title company, property manager, or closing representative, confirm the warranty transfer requirements before closing whenever possible. This helps avoid missed deadlines and protects the buyer’s ability to maintain coverage.
For questions about warranty transfers, call 813-614-4830 or contact Foundation Waterproofing 101 before the transfer deadline expires.
